Squad Tryout Information
Every year Lone Star Cheerleading Association provides material for your convenience during tryout season. Various levels are made available for cheers and dances. LSCA offers two dances, two cheers and one sideline. All of the tryout material is accessible on a password protected website for your security. Cheerleading sponsors and coaches are invited to complete the request form below to receive the address and password. The material is shown from the front and the back, taught at a slower pace and then performed with counts and/or words to ensure everyone has learning success.

Suggestions for Running a smooth tryout:
Have a parent meeting and set a deadline for paperwork to be turned in...then stick to it!
Contact judges at least one month in advance. See our scoresheet suggestions to the left.
Hold a clinic to teach tryout material no more than one week in advance.
Hold mock tryouts the night before tryouts. Draw numbers and run everything exactly like it is the big day.
Invite administrators to be in the gym during tryouts and assist with the final squad decision.
